Slate roof
Hodgson’s roofers and competent in installing and repairing the full range of slate roofs.
Natural slate: there are 2 main options:
Welsh Slate, which tends to be used on most older properties and can be the preferred choice for clients working with conservation teams in the UK or on older historic properties that need to be within the surrounding areas.
Spanish Slate, this is the cheaper option of the natural slates but the quality may not be as good and it doesn’t always weather as long as a welsh slate, which can last up to 100 years, if correctly installed by a competent roofing team.
Man-made slate is a combination of ground down natural slate and man-made resin, the slate is larger than the natural slate and is lighter reducing the need for reinforcement in the underlay and the recyclable nature of the slate makes them an eco-friendly option. If you are not restricted in the choice of a natural slate the man-made slate is a cost-effective alternative.
Tiled roof
Hodgson’s roofers work with a range of tiling manufacturers in the UK including Redland and Marley We work closely with you to choose the right tile for your specific job ensuring we match the colours, specifications and pitch.
The option of either Concrete tiles, giving a cost-effective solution or clay tiles, providing a beautiful natural look to your extension, garage, new build or new porch.
Flat roof
Hodgson’s roofing team are able to provide you with a modern flat roof, as part of an extension, balcony or roof terrace, providing a space for alfresco living.
The most durable of these is the fiberglass system, using high quality approved materials, we are able to produce an all-weather proof, maintenance free roof, that is durable, strong and can easily take the foot traffic, increasing the space you have available to you to meet your family needs.
An alternative would be a reinforced felt membrane for either a warm or cold roof installation or an overlay on a refurbishment of an existing aging flat roof. This system can also withstand foot traffic and is a more cost-effective solution to fiberglass.
Hodgson’s also offers a single ply membrane system, ideal for fast track and cost-effective construction projects. It is durable resistant to the natural elements and can support extensive green roofs.
Guttering/fascia/soffits
Hodgson Construction Roofing team can provide comprehensive roofing solutions, including installation of fascias, soffits, guttering and downpipes on a new build, extensions and replacement of existing gutters on your current home, block of flats or commercial property.
Chimney refurbishment or removal
