Design – Build – Maintain

The de Havilland Aircraft museum used this team recently to clean a couple of structures and some maintenance. Extremely freindly and professional team. I look forward to hiring them again.

We wanted to extend our loft and create more space, and after seeing the work completed by Hodgson Construction in our area, we approached Aaron for a quotation. From our very first meeting, we felt confident that we were in safe hands. Aaron and Rory helped us get the project started. They are extremely knowledgeable and gave us excellent advice, including guidance on where to source the materials we needed to provide ourselves. When we agreed for Hodgson Construction to take on our project, our structural drawings weren’t even ready. Aaron kindly helped us complete them, and we didn’t need to get involved in any of the technical details. As we all know, living in the house during construction can be daunting, but Hodgson Construction gave us complete peace of mind and allowed us to continue with our normal routine. We had weekly project meetings to keep everything on track, discuss upcoming decisions, and talk through any concerns. The team were incredibly friendly, lovely to work with, and very hard working. They were respectful of our home and our neighbours and went out of their way to make living through the renovation as easy as possible. The WhatsApp group, with all the workers included, was a brilliant idea and incredibly useful throughout the project. The photos attached show the main loft conversion, but we also had the chimney removed and our first floor bedrooms decorated. At the end of the project, we have exactly what we wanted and more than what we anticipated. There were no unexpected costs and no unnecessary delays. Any issues were addressed quickly, and the work was completed to a very high standard. Without Aaron and his team, we wouldn’t have achieved our dream additional space. We are extremely happy with the results and the service we received. We are thankful to Aaron, Rory, Lee and everyone else who worked very hard exceeding our standards in this project. We highly recommend Hodgson Construction, and if we need any further renovation work, we will definitely choose them again.

We wanted a kitchen/diner extension at the rear of the house but were unsure which builder to choose until we met Aaron from Hodgson's. Meeting Aaron was a game changer as he was easy to communicate with plus he provided a comprehensive quote at a reasonable price. As we all know having renovation work done is never easy. Aaron and his team helped us over obstacles with the minimum of fuss and delay. We had confidence in the team to keep us moving forward. The work started on time and was completed within schedule. The WhatsApp group worked extremely well as we were kept fully informed with progress. It has been reassuring that six months after the finish of the project a comprehensive snag survey was carried out and the remedial work completed. We are pleased with the quality of work and thrilled with the super new space created for our home. We would highly recommend Hodgson's and will used them again on any future projects.

We were recommended Hodgsons and Sons by a neighbour and used them for a massive loft conversion, full design and build with no regrets, they were great! We even added on a lot of extras along the way: painting outside our house, replacing fascias, redecorating bedrooms, chimney repairs. Aaron, Rory, Sofia, Ellen and team were great to work with. Of course we had some hiccups along the way, over a 14 week period of works, but they were always quick to address and resolve anything we asked. All the subcontractors were lovely and we were able to communicate with everyone directly through a WhatsApp group which made everything a lot more straightforward for us. They took great care to leave the job in perfect condition, making good on all snagging and cleaning. We're really pleased with the output of all the works. We would definitely use Hodgsons again if we have any further building works and would recommend them to friends and family.

Hodgson Construction completed a huge extension project for us. From the moment Aaron came round to discuss the plans, we felt like we could trust them, and that trust was never misplaced. For the entire, long project, Aaron and his team were constantly in touch, always available, always following up, always telling us what the plans were and when we could expect what to happen. The photos attached show the main extension kitchen-diner; but we also had the garage converted into a study, utility room and library. At the end of the project, we have exactly what we wanted and a little bit more. There were no unexpected costs and no unnecessary delays. Any problems were addressed quickly, the work was completed to a high standard in all regards, and Aaron gave us extra things in a couple of cases where he felt the work was needed to finish to a standard he was happy with. It is genuinely such a wonderful feeling that we've found a company and operator that we trust so much. We are incredibly happy with the overall result and the service we received. Our house is spectacular! I would not hesitate to recommend them for any work and I will be going back to them for literally anything I still need doing!

In summer of 2023, Hodgsons constructed a dormer extension to our (already converted) loft (including adding in a new bathroom). We were very satisfied with their work and love the new space. Would certainly use them for future projects. A few key points: - Clear and transparent in the quote process and responsive in answering any queries - ⁠High quality workmanship throughout the project - ⁠As unobtrusive as possible, and always friendly, reliable and punctual - ⁠Reasonably priced work and no hidden/unexpected costs - ⁠ Consulted with us where appropriate to ensure we were happy - ⁠Reassured us around any concerns (e.g. in relation to parking) - ⁠Only slight improvement point was that it could have been clearer upfront who was responsible for acquiring items required for the project and when, in order to avoid delays - ⁠Overall good communication, using a Whatsapp group, with photos and videos throughout the project - ⁠Even after the final bill was paid they were quick in resolving a small change required from building control - ⁠Aaron and the team were great, and would certainly recommend them.

We had such a pleasant experience working with Aaron and his team. He literally took the stress out of the building process. He was very transparent about the process and his prices and great at communicating so we always knew where we stood. And if any problems arose, even if it was nothing to do with his team’s work, he was on the case with solving the problem. He has a really good eye for detail, gave us great design advice and made sure the work was finished to a high standard. We’re really pleased with the results and I’ve already recommended Aaron to all of my friends and family and trust that they would have a similar experience.

We had some vague ideas about what we wanted, Hodgson made this a reality. We have a great new porch which is a key feature of the house, to a very high build quality. It was delivered to an agreed time frame by a very proficient team to an agreed budget. We are very happy.
