My flat roof is leaking what can I do?

If your flat roof is leaking finding a good quality is roofer will be really important.
Always look for a roofer who has an accreditation with a roofing body like the National Federation of Roofing Contractors.
Contact the roofing company and ask if they will provide you with a free quotation.
Once you have a quotation you are happy with agree a date and ask the roofer if they are happy to provide you with before and after photographs.

When a flat roof leaks, this can mean the roof has come to the end of its natural life. Most flat roofs will last for approximately 20 years if they have been well installed.

What are your payment terms?

All our projects are different, but we run the same project management disciplines throughout each one to ensure transparency, integrity, diligence and trust.

Each project starts off with an initial free consultation and we also offer a free estimate for your project with no obligation to continue.

If you decide to proceed we then agree terms and timelines.

Payments begin with an initial deposit to secure the start date of the project. We then break up the project into natural stages of progress and estimate the timeline for delivery of each stage. With prior consultation with the client, we agree a stage payment. This payment effectively covers the cost of the building materials and labour, delivered within the stage timeline. At the end of each stage we take a payment before moving onto the next stage. Final payments are requested once any snagging has been completed.

How often should I get my gutters cleaned?

Getting your gutters cleaned regularly will help prevent leaks into your rooms upstairs or under a gutter.

If you are in an area with lots of trees, you should have your gutters cleaned about once every six months.
The gutters will fill with leaves in the autumn and when the weather gets wetter your gutters will block and the down pipes may also block too, causing the excess roof water to spill over the gutters.

What professional credentials do you have ?

We are members of various industry bodies including the Federation of Master Builders, Constructionline and NFRC.

We have a Checkatrade score of 9.88 / 10 and Which Trusted Trader score of 4.9/5.

Can I clean moss off my roof myself?

Removing the moss from your roof is a job that requires a skilled roofer.

We do not recommend anyone who isnt highly skilled in working at heights access their roof.
Our roofers manually sweep the roof and it is important not to crack any of the tiles or slates while on the roof.
After manually sweeping a roof, a chemical is applied to the roof by an expert roofer.
This will prevent the moss returning for about 5 years.
