Each project starts off with an initial free consultation, site survey. We also offer a free estimate for your project with no obligation to continue. If you decide to proceed we then agree terms and timelines.
The entire process is mapped out from start to finish with clear milestones, delivery dates and a payment schedule all included. This transparent process ensures there is no confusion or misunderstanding between anyone involved in the project. Added to that, we set up a private group chat via direct messaging services where discussions can take place off site. We want to ensure we are all on the same page from day one and reduce the stress for you.

We were recommended Hodgsons and Sons by a neighbour and used them for a massive loft conversion, full design and build with no regrets, they were great! We even added on a lot of extras along the way: painting outside our house, replacing fascias, redecorating bedrooms, chimney repairs. Aaron, Rory, Sofia, Ellen and team were great to work with. Of course we had some hiccups along the way, over a 14 week period of works, but they were always quick to address and resolve anything we asked. Hodgson Construction completed a huge extension project for us. From the moment Aaron came round to discuss the plans, we felt like we could trust them, and that trust was never misplaced. For the entire, long project, Aaron and his team were constantly in touch, always available, always following up, always telling us what the plans were and when we could expect what to happen. The WhatsApp group, with all the workers on it, is such an obviously good idea that it baffles me why other companies or tradesmen don't do it. It was incredibly useful the entire time. The photos attached show the main extension kitchen-diner; but we also had the garage converted into a study, utility room and library. At the end of the project, we have exactly what we wanted and a little bit more. There were no unexpected costs and no unnecessary delays. Any problems were addressed quickly, the work was completed to a high standard in all regards, and Aaron gave us extra things in a couple of cases where he felt the work was needed to finish to a standard he was happy with. It is genuinely such a wonderful feeling that we've found a company and operator that we trust so much. We are incredibly happy with the overall result and the service we received. In summer of 2023, Hodgsons constructed a dormer extension to our (already converted) loft (including adding in a new bathroom). We were very satisfied with their work and love the new space. Would certainly use them for future projects. We wanted to do a rear single story extension and met with several construction firms. We chose Hodgson Construction as after meeting Aaron, we knew we were in safe hands. Major renovations to your house is a daunting process but with Hodgson Construction, we had weekly project management meetings to keep the project on track, discuss upcoming decisions and talk through any concerns we had. The team were incredibly friendly and lovely to work with but also very hard working. They were respectful of our house and our neighbors and went out of their way to make living through the renovation as easy as possible. The roof's were replaced in the time period given by Aaron and also to the quote given at start. We wanted to have a side rear and first floor extension to be done. We met many different building companies and decided eventually to go ahead with Hodgson Construction. We met Aaron the Director of the company during the second meeting. He approached the project with such great enthusiasm, energy, knowledge, fair pricing that we had to choose them. We had from the beginning the feeling of them all being very caring and Aaron really wanted to do this project. He estimated the works to be completed within 14 weeks. They managed to do it in 15 weeks. Bearing in mind, there was Covid, Brexit, fuel shortage in-between and supply shortages started to kick in. However, Hodgson Construction made it happen without any issues. Hodgson Construction made it possible for us to remain living inside. This can be quite a stressful time. However, the amazing and unique positive energy each and one of their crew member had, is something you won’t find very often. Everyone is extremely accommodating and professional. The most common answers you will get from them, "It's not a problem", "We get it done”. This is something you can just hope for once you have gone into the relationship with any building company. Every crew member has been extremely polite, charming, hilariously funny and just a delight to be around with. We developed our project a little bit here and there throughout the extension being build, as everyone had his own ideas how to do things a little bit better. We have had no regrets or whatsoever to take on the ideas and suggestions. Someone might be able to get the overall project a bit cheaper, but this will reflect in quality. Hodgson pricing overall has bene extremely fair. We didn't have any disagreements about payments. The aftercare has been fantastic and also spot on. After the extension was finished we had a few more visits from Hodgson Construction as they wanted us to be 100% satisfied. And again, nothing was a bother or tuned into extra additional costs. As much as we wanted the project to be finished, we actually missed the guys once they had the works finished and left the side. So much so that we will host a summer barbecue for the entire team as thank you. Our quality of life has completely transformed, because we found such an amazing company. We will be most grateful for the rest of our lives and won't forget what each and one of them has done for us. We would always work with Hodgson Construction on any other project again.
